Jim was educated at Boston College, Boston University and Burnside Ott School of Aviation and became licensed as a commercial pilot and flight instructor. Prior to entering the field of real estate, he was employed at the Boston Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
In 1970, Jim was licensed by The Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a real estate broker and Foley Real Estate was hatched. Over the years, the staff grew to over twenty licensed agents and support staff. Currently, he serves on The Massachusetts and/or The Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors Professional Standards Committee, Mediation Committee, Education Committee and formerly the Grievance Committee. Jim has been certified to teach and has instructed broker and salesperson pre-licensing courses. Presently, Jim holds licenses as a real estate broker in fourteen states.
